Library and Study
Our client approached us after relocating from London to Horsham. With an extensive collection of books, they had been stored in boxes following the move while the client settled into their new home.
The room presented several design challenges, including a fuse board that needed to remain accessible, an underfloor heating manifold, and an area affected by damp. Despite these constraints, we designed a bespoke solution that maximised storage while seamlessly integrating around each obstacle.
After the initial design meeting, the brief was clear: maximise storage for books, conceal all of the services while keeping them fully accessible, and incorporate a desk to provide a comfortable workspace for working from home.
The material and colour palette was then selected, with oak chosen for the bookcases and desk, complemented by Florentine Red on the trims and walls.
Once our client received the visual renders, they were delighted with the design and were happy to proceed with the project.
The Finished Result
The finished result was truly stunning. Bespoke oak-veneered birch plywood bookcases complement the existing oak herringbone flooring, while the hardwood cornice and skirting boards, all spray-finished in Florentine Red, frame the room beautifully.
Concealed LED lighting adds warmth and atmosphere, enhancing the space both day and night. Most importantly, the design delivers exactly what the brief called for—plenty of beautifully crafted storage, with lots and lots of space for books.
Traditional Wardrobes
Our client required a set of bespoke wardrobes that would complement the character and style of their property. This was achieved through the use of a traditional cornice and beaded raised-panel Shaker doors, creating a timeless design that sits seamlessly within the room.
Additional depth was built into the wardrobes to maximise the available storage space. Shelving positioned behind the hanging rails provides practical additional storage, making the most of every inch of the interior.
All of our internal drawers are fitted with soft-close runners as standard, ensuring a smooth, quiet operation and a premium finish.
A stylish bar handle completes the wardrobes, adding a clean, contemporary finishing touch.
Pink Draws
A bespoke, clean-lined cabinet featuring a seamless push-to-open mechanism for a sleek, handleless finish. The reeded drawer fronts introduce texture and depth, creating a tactile, contemporary aesthetic while maintaining the cabinet's minimalist design.
Media wall
Our client wanted a statement media wall that would become the focal point of the room while blending seamlessly with the existing interior. The brief was to create something sleek and contemporary, with clean lines and refined detailing, without overpowering the space.
The result is a beautifully balanced design that enhances the room, providing practical storage and a striking centrepiece that feels perfectly at home.
A beautiful British Fires fireplace was seamlessly integrated into the design, creating a striking focal point while maintaining the clean, contemporary aesthetic.
Concealed, dimmable LED lighting was incorporated to add warmth and ambience, allowing the mood of the room to be adjusted throughout the day. Subtle wall panelling introduces texture and character without overwhelming the space, completing a media wall that is both elegant and understated.
The soundbar and television fit seamlessly into the custom-built apertures, with all cabling neatly concealed while remaining fully accessible for future adjustments and maintenance.
